Got a pack from Omega that is 6 weeks old (manufacturer date aug 30) been in the fridge. I know under pitching is kinda preferred. Just wondering if i should worry about making a starter for a 1.065 beer (5 gal)?

My flask is being used so i can't really make a starter anyway. Thinking just pitch the pack and hope it's alive :(

Wish i woulda just bought dry yeast

As long as it's been cold you're good! Pitch into nice 96F degree wort and use double the yeast nutrient in your brew. Kviek is very robust stuff and built it's reputation on taking a beating and showing who's the boss when all odds are stacked against it ;)
