Hey everyone,
Headed to vegas next month was wondering if some of the fine people here could give me some locations of brewpubs within walking distance of the strip. I've found ellis island brewing co and sin city which i've been to before but if anyone has some favorites I would like to check them out :mug:

Can't really think of any brewpubs w/in walking distance, but there's a few bars and restaurants that have good offerings on the strip.

Pour24
CarneVino (Mario Batali restaurant)
Burger Bar
Nine Fine Irishmen
Morels
Cut (Wolfgang Puck restaurant)

Some good places that are close:

Freakin Frog
Rosemary's Restaurant
YardHouse (160 taps)
Hofbrauhaus

I personally can't wait to move out of here:mug:

For me, Vegas is a great place to visit, but not a great place to live. I made it there for about a year. But, that is just my taste. I know a number of people who love it there. Can't complain about the winters.

Doesn't Monte Carlo have a brew pub of some sort going? Gordon Biersch is off the strip, but not too far, on paradise. Barley's out in Henderson is a decent Burger and Brew.

I agree with you. Good visit, bad living place.

Monte Carlo brew pub is closed down, i guess the bar that replaced it is ok though.

And yea, there's Barley's, BJ's, and Chicago but they're all a decent trip from the strip.

I wanted to get a T-shirt from Nine Fine Irishmen, but I don't think I could have worn it. It said "I Did Nine Fine Irishmen". Imagine the looks I'd get wearing it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. After my lease is up here I'm planning on moving out there for a couple years. What is it you dislike so much? We can just trade places :D

The heat, the people, lack of seasons, lack of scenery (unless you enjoy dirt), housing prices, and a few others.

There are a few pros, i guess... like ummm... well... 24hr stores. yup, thats about it:drunk:

Fwiw though, i grew up in Seattle and Vegas is hugely different (obviously). I'd like to end up back in a place that has greenery, snow, rain, lakes, etc. Actually am considering Colorado when the time becomes right.

Ah the dirt scenery. I'm living that life right now so no shock for me. I would like to bounce around the country for a while myself while I've still got some youth in me. Colorado will probably be next on my list because I would like to live in a ski town at least once. Thanks for the info!:mug:

How young are you Whytee?
If you've never been to Yardhouse its worth a go to see all the variety.
If you want Oktoberfest fun go to Hofbrauhaus.

I'm 19 but I've got a killer fake-id and I'm tired of drinking pruno. Joking, I'm 27 and I've been to vegas a hand full of times but for some reason it's never struck me to seek out the tasty beers until this time around. Of course i'll be there a full week so I guess I'll have some time. Thanks for the suggestions, I looked into the Hofbrauhaus and it looks like i'll be taking a trip :D

There was a mini brew pub thinging in one of the malls of one of the mega casinos, cant remember, beer was ok though...

I would ride the Duece to Down Town and go to Main Street Station. They have a brew pub that has good beer and great food at great prices. They have a deal on all 16oz brews, one dollar from midnight till 7am. http://www.mainstreetcasino.com/display.cfm?id=1106 There is also a micro brewery at the 4 Queens but I have not tried it. Also at the Golden Nugget there is a bar that has lots of different beers.

by the way you can get a 24 hour pass for the Duece for $5 and it goes all the way from DT to Mandalay Bay.
