Hi guys,

I decided to venture into a Berliner Weisse recipe from my local shop. I went through with brew day on Tuesday of this week. Brewed and got an OG of 1.034. The kit was supposed to come with fruit in order to get a higher OG apparently from what the manager told me today on the phone.

Turns out Tuesday when I got the supplies and I was told it would be ok without the fruit wasn't exactly correct. Talked to a guy today and he said come in tomorrow and pick up a can of fruit on them. Pretty stoked for that but I now have an option. I've always been impartial to peach but I'm looking for some creative input.

Thanks

Mike

1.034 for a Berliner is about right. You can certainly add fruit to secondary, or use fruit syrup directly in the glass while you're drinking it.

I make a peach Berliner Weisse that I really, really like. It's similar to Dogfish Head's Festina Peche.
