Vanilla extract

I have a recipe calling for 3 oz of vanilla extract to be added at bottling time. Should I boil the vanilla extract with the bottling sugars for five minutes or will this kill the flavor? If I should not do this, are there any other measures for sanitations sake?
 
Pure vanilla extract is like 80 proof. It's sterile. If you use imitation vanilla, boil it with the sugar.
