Hey All, I posted a few weeks ago about my new barrel, here is the link if interested. But this post has a diffrent question.

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f127/new-barrel-364182/

My question now is this, My ultimate goal for this barrel is to age Lambic, to blend into my American "Geuze". The barrel is fresh, never used before. If I were to fill it with Imperial stout for the first use would the dark color ruin my chances of making a pale lambic? Just worried about messing up the barrel. Thanks for the time in advance.

I do no plan to use for Lambic for a long time, Barrel needs to run down until it has nothing more to give, but Will I be able to get rid of the black

Cheers
