use it or throw it away?

I made a starter last night for use tomorrow....just looked at it and there were two gnats in the foam . No idea how they got in. I got em out and it is still on the stir plate but aren't gnats a deal breaker?

I'd use it. The fermentation and alcohol will kill anything bad.

Maybe a little protein added!

The Nats are attracted to the CO2, a lot of insects are.
