Urgent Bottling Question

My buddy and I are short on bottles so we raided our building's recycling bins and found lots of very nice brown bottles. The problem is they're screw tops (w/ the spirals rather than straight lips). Will these work? Quick responses are appreciated since we want to bottle this afternoon! THANKS!

They MIGHT work. If you're using a wing capper, you could have sealing problems. Some folks use them without issue at all, and most of them recommend a bench capper to get a proper seal. Others (like me) avoid them entirely.

I usually avoid them but accidentally used 5-6 my last batch and had no problems.
