Hi all,
My first homebrew is in bottles carbonating. I'm already planning my second brew and I'm looking to upgrade my equipment, but I have a few questions.

1. My stockpot did ok with my first brew, but it's just barely big enough to contain the extract brew I did last. I had a minor boil over. I'm thinking up upgrading to a real brew pot, with spigot and thermometer preferably. My question is will my electric stovetop be enough to brew with, or do I need to look into getting an element kit from a place like KegKits?

2. I'm looking at getting a wort chiller, immersed not counter-flow. Is this a worthwhile investment at this stage, or should I hold off for now? I chilled my last brew in my bathtub, but it took just over 30 minutes.

3. What else should I think about at this point? I want to move to the next step, but I don't want to jump in too deep yet and drop too much money.

Thanks.

I'd get a burner and a larger pot (9gal capacity so you can do 5gal full boils). Although, a wort chiller is almost necessary to cool 5 gallons of liquid so you may want to get one of those first.
