So I'm new to brewing and I just started the fermentation process on my first batch of Orange Clove Mead. My recipe didn't say to heat up the water to dissolve the honey. It just said mix and pitch yeast.
My Question is out of 16lbs of honey I think about 2lbs are undissolved at the bottom with the spices (thick cloudy brownish white substance). Would stirring it at this point kill the yeast? Or would it be better to just heat it up and pitch more yeast? thanks for any advice!
