Two compartment mash tun

I am thinking of purchasing this mash tun from the local CL...

BEER MASH TUN - 2 Manifolds

Should I be concerned that since the mash tun has 2 compartments I will lose a lot of heat due to the dead space of the 2nd compartment? I don't have the volume of the compartments yet but assuming that the 1st compartment is large enough to mash for a 5gallon batch (40qts or so) does this seem like a decent set up?

never seen a mash tun like that, but it looks like it would work

Once preheated it should not cause a problem. Also if you wanted to help it hold the mash temp on a cold day fill it with hot water and it would help hold the temps.
