Newbie here. Gonna do my first batch this weekend. Was looking at turkey fryers. Anybody have opinions or used either of these?

Thanks!

I have used the one from Menards and it worked just fine, no issues.

Those are on the smallest size you'd want for 5 gallons. Almost too small, IMO. I like the comfort of 40 gallons. 32 gallons ought to work pretty good if you keep an eye on it. The 29 quart pot is too small without really babying it - watch it like a hawk, use fermcap every time, watch it like a hawk, keep your boils around 60 minutes. This is all based on 5 gallon batches of course.

I use a 44 quart pot for 5.25 gallon batches a couple of times on 90 minute boils I have been within about an inch of the top during the hot break. Just for comparative purposes.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking the 29 qt would be slightly too small. Maybe I'll go with the menards one and if it ends being too small just repurpose it and get a bigger pot down the line
