True Brew Buckets question

My LHBS has been carrying the true brew buckets for quite some time but they told me they can no longer get the lids for the larger size (around 7.8 gallons as I recall). I need to replace one of my lids. I emailed Ed at Brewmasters and he said he cannot source these lids either. Anyone know of any place that has these lids in stock?

I'd take the bucket to any big box hardware store and see what fits.

If you have to order one, I would bet it is cheaper to buy a new bucket.....

My LHBS is out of the larger buckets and I have about 4 of them I use regularly. I don't think the HD/Lowe's lids will even come close but it looks like Northern Brewer has a lid that might work for 6 bucks and change. I'm gonna try that and see if that works.

Why do you need a lid? Just stick a piece of plexiglass (or something similar) over it if you're using it for a primary. Are you using it for a primary?

Besides, if you used plexi you could take a little peek every once in a while.
