Truckee - pubs, brewpubs, breweries and homebrewers

Hi, I started homebrewing in march with a friend of mine. We are spending the winter in truckee and were wondering if there are any good breweries, brewpubs or homebrewers gatherings in truckee, CA or nearby.

most all homebrew related is in reno, check out Brasserie St James (homebrewer that opened his own brewery, really nice guy) and the guys at reno homebrew are knowledgeable/helpful/nice guys. Mellow fellow has good beer selection in Truckee and 50/50 has been hit or miss for me. Im in Tahoe Vista and have a few buddies that dabble in homebrew but mostly come here to drink mine.

I just stumbled across this post. You have to check out Fifty Fifty in or near Truckee at www.fiftyfiftybrewing.com. Great brewery and food. I believe they won a few metals and gained some strong notoriety.

Auburn Alehouse has an amazing imperial IPA - Isotope PU-240. Love it!!

I'm heading to fifty-fifty next time I'm up in the area.
