Triple Decocted Hefe Help

So my first decoction brew was a Hefe and it turned out Fantastic. The only problem was that for my decoction vessle I used a 10 gallon SS stock pot, and the pot was too wide for me to be able to get a decent even/stable temperature. The only other vessles I have are two, two gallon SS pots and an aluminum pot. I have never seen anyone use an aluminum pot and wanted to see if it was ok for boiling my thick mash.

As long as you seasoned it by boiling water in it previously, no problem.
