OK, I'm growing 5 types of hops, one root system each. I used to trellis them off the side of the house but now have to create something for them.
What I'm planning is two 4x4 posts, 16 feet, three feet in the ground, so 13 feet high. With a T at top. Running two lines of 12.5 guage wire between each post. and 2 bines per plant up to the wire. The posts will be about 30 feet apart.
Is this going to be good enough for the posts ..will this hold what I'm planning on doing?
We do get some high winds around here ...70MPH at times.
