They have Buffalo Trace barrels lurking in this week's pic of TWSS.

Met someone who won one of the bourbon vanilla good morning growlers and his coworker did as well.

Am expecting FT: BVBM ISO: BVDL++ any minute now, probably on the other site as I don't think he's on this one

i'm assuming "bourbon vanilla" is Bourbon Vanilla, as in the species of vanilla, not bourbon as in the liquor, right? or just bourbon added or something? cause you can't barrel age just one sixtel as far as i know... but man, i would like to try that beer

Nate clarified elsewhere, that the raffle bottles are NOT bourbon barrel aged, just vanilla.

That being said:

From my understanding, it was aged on bourbon vanilla beans, no barrel aging. I'll let you know how mine tastes when i get around to it.

The person 2 in front of me and the guy 3 behind me won.. They should have just sold them to the first 10 in line! (I was 9)
/fake anger, that was definitely the most fair way to do it. Also thanks to the TH guys for letting us in out of the cold rain early.

Waved to you when I went to the front to hand in my order.

You didn't respond... I was sad

VERY HAZY - (Double IPA - 9.0% ABV) - A kicked up version of Haze, our Double IPA, Very Hazy is a beer that makes us Very Happy! Very Hazy conveys all the beautiful flavors of Haze, but with even greater depth and potency. Pungent grapefruit notes greet your palate while an underlying current of soft tropical fruit dances in the background. Just the right amount of bitterness balances the sweet fruit flavors while a velvety soft mouthfeel make you easily (and dangerously!) forget this one clocks in at 9% ABV. A huge and beautiful beer that maintains softness and delicacy - a beer we are very excited about! (750 ML - $11) *** Limit 2 750 ML ***

DIRTY CHOCOLATE (Chocolate Stout - 7.8% ABV) - We’re excited to release a new project here at Tree House - Dirty Chocolate! Brewed with organic cacao nibs sourced from Ecuador - growers of what many believe to be the finest and most distinct beans anywhere in the world - Dirty Chocolate is a true chocolate lover’s delight! It pours pitch black, with a beautiful creamy mocha head. We experience flavors and aromas of earthy (dirty) chocolate, dark chocolate nougat, pure roasted cacao, and even vanilla with varying complexities revealed as it warms. A pure cacao bitterness provides balance and lingers pleasantly on the palate. We’re thinking this could initiate an exploration of beans sourced from varying regions, a la Double Shot! A delicious beer, and one we’ve already fallen in love with! (750 ML - $10 | 2L $20) ***Limit two bottles w/up to 1 2L ***

If I hadn't just been there last week and didn't already have plans to stop by there next week I'd be heading up post-haste. My only solace is that it sounds like another regular series so it should return before too long.
