Met someone who won one of the bourbon vanilla good morning growlers and his coworker did as well.

Am expecting FT: BVBM ISO: BVDL++ any minute now, probably on the other site as I don't think he's on this one
No way man, blckout20 and I necked that thing the next day. Joel took his down the following week, and after having BVDL on Thursday night, I wouldn't trade much more than a bag of Marshmallow Joys for that stuff (1:1).

i hope they have more than just eureka w/ citra on for fills that week. seems like every time i'm in the area thats the only thing they have

I don't remember last time TH actually only had one beer on to start any day. I guess the week of the wedding there was a day with only BoC? It's been a long time. Stuff seems like it has been way more available recently.

yeah, the last time I was there was around this time last year, when they were still really struggling to keep up with demand. it's just weird that of the few times i've been there, eureka w/ citra has been on, and was either the only beer or one of two. haven't had an opportunity yet to try any of their IPAs.

Bear the Beer:
BEAR(American Brown Ale - 6.2%) - Nearly four years in the making, Bear is Tree House brewer Brendan’s recipe and his first scaled commercial batch. It has all the characteristics of a classic English Brown Ale with a distinct American twist. Bear pours a nearly opaque dark brown with a sticky caramel colored head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, chocolate, and earthy hops prep the palate for the wonderful flavor to come. We taste toffee, brown bread, caramel candy, varied nuttiness, and a melange of dark fruit. The earthy hops dance throughout and are balanced beautifully by a brown sugar sweetness. Delicious. Bear is one of the best food beers we have ever had - it pairs brilliantly with nearly everything… including nothing! A lovely and unique example of a brown ale and one we are quite proud of Brendan for creating! Brewed in honor of those who leave a lasting and influential impression on our lives. (750ML - $7 | 2L - $14) *** Limit two total bottles w/ up to 1 2L ***

Sounds pretty nice...but I need some hops for the holidays too!!!

don't think i'm making the trek out there tomorrow if thats the only thing that will be available

HARMONY (American IPA - 6.6%) - So... we brewed an all Nelson IPA! Harmony is absolutely packed with one of the most unique and delicious hop varieties in the world - Nelson Sauvin. We taste and smell pungent New Zealand white wine (acidic citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, lime) offset by a medley of tropical fruit. A simple malt bill provides a mildly sweet balance but this beer is really all about the hops. A soft and proper bitterness finishes things off and keeps you coming back for more. We just adore Nelson... and this beer! (750ML - $8 | 2L - $16)*** Limit two 750 ML OR 1 2L ***

Now that's what I'm talking about

Props to jomobono for the original Nelson Muntz .gif

Great update from the Tree House folks. If you enjoy Tree House as much as I do, this will make you very happy.

http://treehousebrew.com/blog/

Pro tip: Grab a box of Kleenex before reading.

Oh wow.

To put how much into perspective, we expect to make as much Julius in three weeks - once we get rolling - as we’ve made in the entire three years Tree House has existed.

Yeah.

Everything in that update is phenomenal, although I can't help but be a tiny bit upset by the news that the canned beers will likely no longer be available for growler fills. It doesn't really matter, it's not as if there's any real taste difference and obviously cans keep longer, but not being able to get growlers of Green or Julius anymore will still feel like the end of an era in a way that can't help but make me feel a little bit sad.
