I have an American Barley Wine that I brewed 1.5yrs ago. It has turned out to be quite good and I may enter it into a competition. It was bottled in 1L flip-top bottles and naturally carbed. I need to transfer it into smaller bottles. Does anyone have a good method for transferring from bottle to bottle?

Yeah, foam and oxidation are my fear. I guess I'll put a sixer of small bottles away for my next batch or put half of it in one of my 2.5gal kegs and fill bottles from that.

I bottle in bombers, but always make sure to bottle 3 or 4 12 oz bottles in case I think the beer was good enough to send to a competition since some only take the smaller bottles.
