Topping off at bottling...

I brewed a 4 gallons (5g recipe) but forgot to add the gallon of water to the partial 4gallon. It's ready to bottle. Any issues just topping off when transferring to bottling bucket? I'd would also siphon the water to prevent oxidation.

If it's done fermenting, I wouldn't dilute the beer. You ended up with a bit less but stronger beer.

The water itself will have oxygen in it. You would need to boil the water to drive off the oxygen. How long that'll take, I don't know.

Personally, I'd just bottle it as it is and have stronger beer...
