Too late to add yeast nutrient to cider?

Mead fermentations often have staggered nutrient additions.

The only risk you run with a delayed nutrient addition is if the yeast are being out-competed by something nasty, which will then get the nutrient first... but if that's unlikely and if it's happening, you're pretty much screwed anyway... so I say go for it!
