How cold is too cold to lager? The warmest I can get my freezer that I was going to use as a lagerator is 34 F. Is that too cold? My other option is my basement which is 58 F right now.

Get a digital temp controller. Basically works by a probe in your carboy or the freeze-a-menter and the freezer itself is plugged into the controller. Turns the freezer on/off based on the temp you set, completely bypassing the freezer's temp controller. Lets you temp control even in the hottest summer months.
