So I am getting ready to brew my second beer using a yeast starter. However, my house sits at about 57-60 F right now (yes it is cold in here! oil is expensive!) which is much colder than my last attempt and too cold for a good fermentation. I fermented my last batch in a keg bucket filled with water and a aquarium heater, which kept the carboy at about 68 F.
Any ideas how I can get my starter temps up? Thanks!
