Can someone tell me the procedure for toasting flaked oats and what kind of flavor they impart?
 
Spread them on a cookie sheet, preheat the oven to 350F. Bake them for about 15-20min or until they are golden brown in color and smell like cookies, make sure you don't roast them. The flavor is slightly cookie like, toasty, like biscuits, in addition you get a smooth mouthfeel.
