I'm planning on making the Buckwheat Honey Black Beer from Randy Mosher's Radical Brewing.
3.0 lb flaked spelt
2.0 6-row
2.0 biscuit
1.0 chocolate
1.0 buckwheat toasted 20 min @ 300 F
3.0 buckwheat honey.

I was wondering if I need to do a cereal mash for the buckwheat or if toasting it will gelatinize the starches enough for some conversion. I assume the spelt will be okay since its flaked.
