So, I sometimes use a sanke fermenter with the fermentation kit on it, and I put a gallon of water in it and boil/steam it for 15 minutes or so. Typically, I connect the blowoff to my plate chiller when I do this and steam the chiller for 15 minutes too...sterilizing the crap out of them.

Recently, I've decided that I might use a pot, etc. to boil water and steam my 1/2 BBL Chronical from the bottom...leaving the top open.

Any reason why I shouldn't do this?
