To leave picnic tap on or take off?

I have a keg in my fridge that is carbed up and has had a couple tester pints taken from it through the picnic tap, but I now want to leave said keg untouched till party at end of June. Should I disconnect the picnic tap or will it hurt to leave it on?

I'd take it off an rinse it out. Picnic taps are often pretty cheaply made and sometimes leak.

Of course, if your poppet seal leaks, then you'd be better off taking your chances on the picnic tap.

I always leave my picnic tap on the keg, never had a problem (yet).

I’ve had more problems with leaking poppets (cue full keg in bottom of keezer) than leaking picnic taps...
