Started fermenting last Sat., 6 days ago. Had OG 1.05, now at 1.01 for the last 2 days. I had planned on bottling this weekend on the instruction from homebrewers outpost instructions but now I see folks here saying 2 weeks minimum in the primary. What do you guys think?

Obviously I'm impatient for my first brew but I can wait if needed...I guess...

The extra time in primary will give the yeast a chance to clean up and drop out. You can bottle as soon as the gravity is stable, but waiting the extra time will improve the final product.

you don't have to wait but you will likely get a better tasting beer if you do. I know what it's like though to be impatient on the first. Remember - it's your beer so do with it what you want :)

<<Tear>> I wanted to play this weekend. I guess I'll have to settle for only building my fermentation chiller. I will get by
