So i did a brew session on sunday and of course my thermometer mounted half way up the keg started to leak in process. Nothing much i could do at that point, but at least it was just a slow drip.
It brought me to the decision to move to welded fittings. It seems that tri-clover is probably the best choice, and i have no issues with soldering the connections as described in various threads on HBT, but i'm left with one unanswered question. For a single soldered ferrules the various threads describe what i need to do, but what about the spigot where i need a ferrule on the inside for a dip tube and the outside of the keggle for connecting to tubing etc.
