I brewed a pecan brown ale about 5 weeks ago and it's been sitting in primary since. I plan to bottle today but I'm a little worried that I'll have some off flavors from leaving it on the yeast so long. Am I just worried about nothing or is this a legitimate concern?
Either way I'm going to bottle, I just wanted to get some perspective

No worries,m8. The autolysis boogie man is dead & gone these days with better quality yeasts. Like Luda's song...Nigga nigga dead & gone, nigga. Rap but it fits.

I would not worry. I have done this and was worried I would have off flavors, but after bottling the beer was fine.

I think you will find your beer will be better after this long than if you had bottled it at, say, two weeks (though you might not be able to cheer).

Having patience and letting my beers ferment longer was the single change that really, really improved my beers.

Cheers!
