Thrumometer?

It says to not exceed 140 f. Sort of defeats the purpose of running it out my counter flow chiller. Does anyone use it at high heats with no problems?

The LCD will fade over time afaik. You can add QD's to it, and install it in the loop when you hit lower temps. But yeah, a normal inline dial-thermometer would work over the entire temperature-range.

I'm pretty sure it's intended for a simple (non-recirculated) one-way output line going between chiller and fermentation vessel, where the temp. should always be way less than 140°. I've used one in that capacity several times, and it worked well.

Yes. I use a grainfather and recirculate the chiller for a couple of minutes before going into the fermenter. I’d like to not have to add the thrumometer after recirculating, since it would just be easier and cleaner to already have it in place.
