Hey Everybody,

I've done about 4 brews so far and want to try my hand at Belgian beer. I have a brewing kit (couple carboys, all the necessary basic equipment) and do it out of my apartment, so I'm not working with a ton of space or stuff.

I'd love to try brewing something similar to three philosophers, or really just any beer that follows that same sort of style. Any suggestions on other beers to look at would be great too.

So, my question is-- does anyone have a recipe for a Belgian beer, using extract brewing or something that utilizes grains being steeped? I'm really willing to try anything, and I have no problem ordering ingredients online either if the recipe calls for hard to get items.

Thanks so much!

Three Philosophers is a Quad mixed with a Kriek. Probably not a good 4th beer to make. It is a GREAT beer though.

Maybe try a different Belgian from the recipe section at the top of the page. :mug:

Took your advice-- made a belgian tripel. Moving to all grain soon, and this might be one of my "goal" beers (after I try to create a good IPA!)

Check out Nothern Brewer's "The Number 8". It has a profile somewhat similar to Three Philosphers but slightly less abv. Up the grain bill a bit and you'll get pretty close.
