I'm still a complete kegging n00b. I don't even have all the equipment yet, but I'm working on it. I have 4 cornies with those quick-connect ball-lock males for the in and out ports. OTOH, I bought a 2-tap tower from AHS, and the tubing coming from the taps terminates with threaded female connectors. I was looking at a conversion tutorial @ kegkits.com, and they said to cut them off and attach the ball-lock connectors. Is this correct?

If your tower came like mine, you do want to cut those off. I did that and then just slid the tubing over the barbed disconnect. I have clamps on them also to help stand up to the pressure...
