Hi everyone,

I am doing the leg work on a project i have been dreaming up for a while... a automated bartender.

Anyways, once i start building ill post the details if anyone's interested, but for now my problem is finding cheap parts to create the bulkhead for each bottle of booze/mixer. They need to be cheap because each bottle (20+) will need one, so I though of using plastic fittings. Nylon works well with high alcohol content to the best of my knowledge so i was looking for cheep nylon fittings.

USplastics had almost everything i need except for threaded T fittings... they have plenty of barbed T's, but none are completely threaded. The threading is needed for a compression fitting and for the bulkhead (on opposite sides... the middle exit can be either NPT or barbed).

Does anyone know any other sources that might stock ~1/2" threaded T joints in some none toxic plastic?

Thanks,
Michael.

so each bottle will be on a tap and you walk up and push a button and drinks come out premixed or.................? sounds like a neat idea, what's the plan of how this contraption shall work? sorry I don't have any useful help for fittings, but just curious to know more. :mug:

well, each bottle will be pressurized (the T joint provides 3 in/outs, bulkhead, liquid out, gas in) and hooked up to a solinoid valve care of Valves4Projects on ebay... an Arduino will control the bottle pours which will be received via Ethernet shield from a custom JS or PHP web browser im designing now... order drinks on a computer/phone/ipod... drink pours at station...

then the flow rate would change relitive to how full the bottle was... also i cant store the bottle under the bar...

keeping a constant pressure on all the bottles will make its easier to calibrate.. i would need the same setup even if i gravity fed... you would need to break the suction in the bottle which would require the same T joint.
