So I am thinking about making an Imperial Irish Red but I want to change it a bit and add some dried cherries maybe in the boil and pureed up in the secondary along with some oak wood cubes that have been soaked in a whisky.

What you all think?

I think it sounds delicious. Maybe just choose one method (boil vs secondary) for this batch so you know which method best contributes the flavor you are looking for. Just a thought. I would pick pureed in secondary.

Yea I agree as I think the boil would really add no flavor even though it would be put in towards the last 10-15 minutes.
