Thoughts about Northern Brewer Quad Core kit

Thinking about getting this for SMASH sessions. I am not sure if I prefer hop heavy beers or malty beers. Would this be a good way to figure that out? I figure this is a great way to learn the processes and dial in my equipment. I can BIAB or standard all grain.

The kit will allow me test recipes before brewing a full batch. This way if I do not like it I am not stuck drinking 5 gallons of something I do not like.

One gallon jugs can be had on the cheap. For about the same price you can get 4 carlo rossi jugs and make a crapton of cheap sangria....or burn it.
