To my friend who enjoys a beer.. . And those who don't. As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom ,
In beer there is freedom ,
In water there is bacteria.
In a number of carefully controlled trials ,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 litre of water each day ,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed more than
1 kilo of Escherichia coli , (E. Coli) - bacteria found in feces.
In other words , we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
However , we do NOT run that risk when
Drinking beer & wine (or tequila , rum , whisky or other liquor) ,
Because alcohol has to go through a purification
Process of boiling , filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember:
Water = Poop , Beer = Health .
Therefore, it's better to drink beer and talk stupid ,
Than to drink water and be full of ****.

that would mean there is almost 6grams of ecoli in a liter of water.

Why do we always assume that when quoting Ben franklin we are quoting one of the framers of the constitution and founders of our country. Franklin is a fairly common surname and there must be thousands with the first name of Ben.

I think Stephen Hawking said it really, but folks misunderstood him and thought he was quoting Ben Franklin.

E. coli was discovered by German paediatrician and bacteriologist Theodor Escherich in 1885.

Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706 – April 17, 1790)

So, what you're hinting at here is that Ben Franklin had a device that allowed him to travel into the future and back? A sort of "time machine" if you will?

Fascinating!!! :mug:

Because after the yes to, "You're name is Ben Franklin?" no one cares what those guys have to say.

"Water is Poop." Ben Franklin, Daytona Beach, FL, in no way sounds like I'm being given advice, unless that advice is to stay away from Daytona Beach, FL.

Train - steam engine, duh. :D

Are we talking about the same Ben Franklin here?!?!?

Cmon, that's from a movie, everyone knows it's not real. Ben Franklin would never drive a Delorean. He had a collection of vintage Porsches.

Hmm, I'm beginning to suspect that we are not.

...Ben Franklin, pot belly stove guy, bifocals? Ringing any bells? :D

Yep - this guy, right? ;)

Those are bifocals, aren't they...

So, I understand the lightning and the key, but how did he get up to 88 mph or are we just now beginning to understand his almost god like sprinting ability?

He would be going far more than 88mph.

That's what I came here to say so...

Of course, it all makes sense now! :D

65,000 MPH earth around the sun

+ 483,000 MPH sun around the galaxy

EDIT: oh, and don't forget the earth spinning around 1,000 MPH. I leave the speed of out galaxy through the universe to our resident cosmologists.

You cannot fail with that logic.

The number of quotes falsely attributed to Benjamin Franklin is almost as many as Winston Churchill.

How do you know? Were you there? Maybe the source you have that says these quotes are in error are in themselves in error..... How do you know?

There is truth itself, and then there is what we 'believe' to be truth...
:D
