Somewhat off topic but I can't think of a single question I've had that I haven't been able to get answered somewhere on here. Any question I type into Google leads me back here. Tons of experience on here and no bickering when there's a disagreement about something like you might see on other kinds of message boards. Thanks for all of the help.

Can't agree with you more. When ever I do type in a question into google, if hbt isint the first link, I'll scroll down till I see a link for hbt and it's always the answer I need.

Make no mistake, there's still plenty of bickering. :p But usually it gets resolved somewhat civilly, and it never gets as bad as other boards I've been to.

But yeah, it's a great forum. I've learned more here about brewing in my first couple months as a member than I did in several years of brewing prior.

I categorically disagree with this! :mug: homebrewers overall are more tolerant of other opinions on the hobby IME. Get into politics or religion though and things can and will devolve quickly. The mods on here deserve the real credit for their discretion and quick use of moving those topics to the debate forum. But when it comes to beer there is enormous amounts of tolerance and a fair bit of hand holding for newer brewers that just comes with the territory. I mean all of that in the best possible way! :ban:

I've learned a ton from this site. I've yet to read a full brewing book from cover to cover and have been making really good beer (mostly) starting from my second batch thanks to ya'll. I run into an occasional homebrewer time to time. I think can tell if they are on this forum or not just based on our discussions.
