Hi all,

I brewed a batch last Saturday. It had airlock activity within 24 hours and the airlock bubbled for about 24 - 36 hours. It stopped sometime on Tuesday. I took a hydrometer reading yesterday and it was at 1.020. I checked it again today and it was at the same level (1.020). The problem is, the recipe states he should be at 1.011 when it is done. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my first batch. Swirl the fermenter around a few times to get the yeast back in suspension. I did this every day for about 3 days and then just let it sit for another week (2 weeks in the fermenter total). The gravity came down a little bit more, but still didn't hit its target, but so far the beer has been great. I wouldn't worry about it.
