I bought a Thermostar to control my fermentation and lagering chamber. I am using it for cold lagering a keg now, and I noted the beer in the keg is not as cold as I set. I tape the probe to the keg, then cover the probe with a beer coozie to shield from ambient temp readings.
I set the controller to 34F with a 1.5 degree swing (hysteresis). I read the beer temp at 39F and the reading of controller says 34F.
I need to go into the control settings and put in a 5 degree offset for correction. Do I need to put in a -5F offset or a +5F offset? Thanks!
