Im refining a recipe that uses some unmalted spring wheat.

So i got really frustrated with my malt muncher tonight and threw the wheat berries into the blender, then into my spike mash pot. This wheat is 25% of my recipe.

I think Im doomed.

(yes, i used rice hulls and enzymes on this.)

This is a spike mash bucket. I let it mash overnight. Pulled the bin up to drain. It's draining....just very slowly. But I have all day.

I let the bucket drain for about six hours. I tried compressing the grain bed, but that didn't go very far. Mash efficiency turned out to be about like 85% +/- 2%.
