First post over here... I received a recommendation about this site and decided to come on over.

I think the last straw on BA was mentioning a location that still had plenty of Bomb, only to find it cleared out within 12 hours.

Looking forward to chatting beer with you guys in a "lurkerless" and reasonably modded environment...

No guarantee it's lurker-less, especially as it continues to grow. But as of now, TB has 10:1 members:guests and the other place has 1:4 members to guests (totals: 140, 3600). Much better.

That's great news, but I will be in CA til the 1st. Can't complain though, Russian River* here I come!

Yeah, I wouldn't spout location information on BA, its a feeding frenzy if you are trying to help some fellow member out. I tend to just BM people the info.

On top of that, the redundancy of posts has gotten annoying and I'm pretty fed up with people who can't be assed to search. If I can't figure something out and I'm going somewhere, I end up directly messaging specific questions to people who have made helpful posts and offer them beer.

I hope you do. This board is less regionally driven, but has so many great people from that other place. Community is very friendly and it's not about winning, just a great group of folks that like beer and aren't scared to share it.

Yeah I know about the SW tag. I'm just not sure about bombing this forum with multiple threads, like the other site, or keeping everything in one central location.

For the time being it's easy to keep everything in one thread due to the lower number of SW members. But, as this place becomes more popular I can see us needing to start making individual threads for breweries and releases. Just my opinion.
