I'm only E-mailing them about maybe placing another order to spare anyone else having to drink this crap. And they definitely don't ship their beer straight from the brewery all over the country, you can definitely only get it by driving in person to the brewery.
Online sales direct from the brewery? What kind of sensible madness is this?!

Definitely not the kind anyone should bother inquiring about since they definitely don't do it.
We get some distribution down here, but I must admit I am tempted into grabbing one of those packages that they don't ship.

I was pretty skeptical of them when they first showed up, not cheap and the list of odd ingredients was a little off putting, but I have really enjoyed what I have had from them.

I have no idea why, and I may have said this before, Mississippi has the most 2013 Sofie I've ever seen. Used to there was some 2012 and 2014 but now every time I go to the store there sits 2013. I'll keep buying it. I don't mind.

Same here. Goose Island made their appearance on the shelves here about a year ago and now 2013 sofie are turding up the shelves. Not mad.

This was rather fantastic.

Really nice piney, sappy nose with hints of pepper a definite presence of the spruce. Floral and a touch of sweetness in the flavor that finishes with the piney spruce again. Mouthfeel is medium with medium to medium high carbonation. Bit of grain and almost a honey sweetness as it warms.

Shhh...I think you meant that Propolis is a terrible and gimmicky brewery that nobody should consider looking into.

Yes yes... This. No one needs to buy into that crap.

I had an amber saison from them, and looking at the ingredients/flavor profile on their nifty wheel, wasn't sure if I was going to like it. Absolutely loved it. I should seek some more out :)

Def buying and telling my shitlord friends about it

Been meaning to do that ^

Also been meaning to order a bunch of 3F gueuze from overseas, but it's the wrong thread for that ...decisions

Not sure I follow how it is both "sweet" and "very dry" at the same time. But I do like this saison.

I meant that the added candi sugar really shines especially with the maltier base. Thankfully it's a pretty dry beer and lively beer so it was never too much. I also wonder if this was an older bottle so maybe not the best example.

I went in to this expecting more of a hopped up saison but despite this being from last August there's still a bit of resiny fruity hop still hanging about. Above all though this was more funk than anything. Like the ****** part of the barn or something.
Yeah, imo this beer went into almost fecal territory with the funk. I love Anchorage, and I love funky as hell beers, but the brett character wasn't good.

Good to know... Been wanting to try this as I love Anchorage stuff, but since they don't distro here & it generally takes some effort to get any of their beers, I won't bother. I still really need to track down Calabaza Boreal though.

I'd try it again if it was a more recent bottle. As it warmed up the saison yeast and hops came out more but still, like the men's room at the Starburst factory.

I got a bunch of Boreal last year on sale for $6.99/bottle. It was great. Sadly I'm out. I like that beer a lot.

Cracked one of these over the weekend.

I barely opened it and it spat and gushed quite violently, but calmed down. Not sure if this is common with logsdon beers, i imagine it's not.

Took a whiff out of the bottle after opening and didn't notice any off-flavors. Smelled as good as i remember the last one i had a few months back. Lots of citrus, lemon zest, brett, and oak. Moderately spicy, and just the right amount of tartness. Very tasty and easy drinking farmhouse ale. Definitely need more of this.

Now that's a good joke!

Oh wait, you're serious?

NOT gushing with a Logsdon is the surprising thing.

Only my second logsdon beer ever. The first one i had was another oak aged bretta. That one "gushed" very slowly after i opened it. But nothing like the one i just had recently.

This one was like a ******' champagne bottle that was shook prior to opening.

As long as the beer doesn't taste like ****, i'm ok with it. Now i know to open all logsdon beers over the sink, or outside. Just incase......

Buckwheat, oats, and rye fermented with Brettanomyces and a Saison yeast in a 50 hectoliter french oak cask. Herbs and spices grown here at the brewery replaced most of the hops. On it's way into package it was treated to a host of microflora to create additional character over time.

This one has been in my cellar since late 2011 / early 2012, and at this point it is reminiscent of a cross between a Gruit and a rustic saison. Still one of the better things I've ever had from Cisco.
