A huge thanks to Paul and Alice for inviting us down from Nashua - we had a great time, and learned a huge amount about brewing beer in a very short amount of time. Thanks to all for putting up with all of my first-timer questions, and for taking the time to go over your systems and techniques. It was a pleasure meeting so many fun and knowledgable brewers, and I look forward to the next time we get together. It was my first brewers party, and I'm hooked. Can't wait to start brewing.

Great Food, Great Beer, and Great Times. Well Done

Helluva good time, especially since Cape made good on his promise and didn't come.

Was going to crash overnight, but it was turning into a bit of a henfest at ~8:30 or so, so I figured I'd get home and get a good night's sleep. Of course that meant that I came home to a screaming baby who would not go back to sleep.

Also scared the living **** out of my wife, which was fun.

Paulie, I left my new four-way hose splitter at your house; I guess you own a four-way now (since I owed you for the ice and Star-San).

Hey Everyone,

I sure had a blast and I hope everyone who came did also. I was also glad to see a bunch of guys brewing, since that is what Masstoberfest is first and foremost, a party of, for, and by homebrewers.

So knowing full well that I'm going to miss a few folks and apologizing in advance I'll list just the HBT folks who were there. (I'll leave out the names of the Solid Gold Dancers, etc, as a public service.)

So here goes...

Dakota leads off the list since the fool showed up at around 8 and I put his arse to work. (Brewed)
the_bird showed up not long after and got put to work also. (Brewed)
Bulls Beers (A Masstoberfest Original!)
Yeager (Brewed)
SmurfJuice (Brewed)
PaulTheOriginal(Brewed)
Big John
Melana (with spawn)
DayTripper
DaddyMem (with the_wife and spawn, and a couple of members of his brew club and their wives and even more spawn.)
My pal Drunken once again helped out a ton by tending to Bertha when I was otherwise occupied.
Jarrod (SSBC)
Robbnoxious (SSBC)
NHWrecker (A new HBT'er but I think we'll be seeing more of him around here.)

We also had a ton of other non-brewing friends and aquaintences come, including the afore mentioned Solid Gold Dancers (who will NOT be allowed to touch the iPod next year, even if they do overindulge to the point of flashing the crowd again.) There were a bunch of Alices and my collegues from work and a bunch of our dive buddies. We also had assorted spawn of ours popping in and out.

And of course, we had Babalu87, his wife Maureen and both kids. Jeff arrived around 1:30 and stayed till almost 5. He was a little dicey walking on grass but seemed to be having a good time. I was quizzing him about the brewing process and he was giving me back the correct answers.

"So when I put the wort in the brew kettle what do I do next?"

"Boil it."

"And what goes in then?"

"Hops."

We did, as you can see in one of the pictures, give him a beer to try. He took a sip but made a face and said he didn't like it. I'm sure that will come back in time.

So thanks everyone, I'm already looking forward to next year.

(Don't worry, I'll keep practicing my pole dancing skills so I'm in top form for next year.)

Dakota, the_bird, Yeager, SmurfJuice, PaulTheOriginal, and Paulie, thanks for the opportunity to hang around your brewing. Since I BIAB, I found it interesting watching brewing with pumps and multi-vessels (and hot rocks too!). Hopefully I can make it next year and brew on my own rig. I didn't this year because I just don't have any more room for beer right now! My cellar is full and I am just about out of empties with a Centennial Blonde, an Apfelwein, and a Skeeter Pee to bottle soon.

Nah, just a lonely loser drinking his crappy homebrew by himself and brewing faster than I can drown my sorrows. If I could brew as good as some I sampled at Masstoberfest I'm sure I'd be low on reserves instead.

Time to call in the artillery on our own position. Charlie is inside the wire. I repeat, Charlie is inside the wire.

Since this thread seems to be terminally infected could a Mod lock it down so that we don't have to get theses daily agravations? I'll start a new Masstoberfest thread next year, in the meantime we still have the Dysfunctional Masshole thread to amuse ourselves.

I repeat, Charlie is INSIDE the wire! Take cover!

Did they ever give Dan Duquette a ring for 2004? He had more to do with that title (the one that REALLY matters) than Boy Wonder.

I'm just pissed at the lot of 'em, and Theo left a bigger mess than he inherited.

So are these d-bags selling pants with a farkin' Sears Die Hard in the back pocket? Spam is one thing but this crap don't even make sense! Can we trade in this bull sheet spam in favor of some good old fashioned 'You won the Nigerian lottery and you only need to send me $5000.00 (which will be returned to you with 20% interest along with your winnings) so that I can expedite your claim." At least those are funny.

Please Mods. I'm begging you. Kill this thread. It needs to die more than the Dead Thread.
