The "degree" sign

Hi fellow brewers..

Just wanted to tip you all, that doing the "degree" sign the "right" way is Alt+248

Like 161°F :) looks (impov) a bit better than fx 161*F or 161oF....

Neat, I always wondered how people did that. I always either used * (150*F) or just copy/pasted from somewhere that had the correct symbol. Now I feel like a dummy.

Hmmm, I've always done Alt+0176 also, this saves me a keystroke, which means more time for beer! :rockin:
 
On a Mac, you actually want option-shift-8: °

Option-zero is actually a superscript number 0: º

I use the special characters and double click on what I want. If you've never looked thru special characters, there's a lot of cool stuff in there. I keep it in the bottom dock.
