Crooked Stave Persica Blend #1

It's really cleaned up into a fantastic beer. The butter/diacetyl is all gone, at least in this bottle. Very mild funk, but lots of juicy, crushed peach. Fantastic!

someone is gonna prove me wrong here but I've sat on my full Persica allotment since purchase...upright, 55F basement. Had 1 & 2 on Saturday. 1 was really great. 2 was a butter bomb.

Thanks for the report. I'd done the same with all of my bottles, but had heard that they were drinking better. Opened #1 tonight (obviously). Will wait to open a #2. Cheers!

It's really cleaned up into a fantastic beer. The butter/diacetyl (I'd opened both blends shortly after release and thought both were practically undrinkable) is all gone, at least in this bottle. Very mild funk, but lots of juicy, crushed peach. Fantastic!

Had the same experience with blend 1 yesterday.

i had blend 2 a few weeks ago and it was INCREDIBLE. i had blend 1 more recently, not as good as blend 2.

I had Blend #1 and #2 over the past few days. Neither one had any diacetyl/butter issues. Blend #1 was more peach forward and a bit less acidic, whereas #2 was more of an acidic blonde was backing peach. Of course, it seems like bottle variation is still at issue.

It's a good beer. In fact, I'd say it's better than most of the Cellar Reserve beers from last year, but no, it's not better than my favorite beer. Fou Foune? Please.

We are happy to announce that our first bottle release for the 2014 Cellar Reserve is set for Saturday, June 21st, 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Barrel Cellar. At this release you will receive (2) each of the following bottles:
-L'Brett d'Cherry
-L'Brett Grand Cru
-Raspberry Origins
-Blackberry Dark Origins

Also, members will receive their 2014 Cellar Reserve Membership card, growler, and thermal shirt. If you purchased additional growlers or thermal shirts through our online store, these will also be available for pick-up.

Tomorrow, April 25th, at 10:00am MST the online sale of the following ADDITIONAL Cellar Reserve bottles will go up for sale:
-L'Brett Grand Cru (8 bottle limit)
-L'Brett d'Cherry (1 bottle limit)
*Any orders that surpass the set bottle limits will be cancelled

These bottles will stay up for sale UNTIL Friday, May 9th 10:00am MST, and any remaining bottles will be available for purchase after the initial sale is completed.

**We will hold another online sale for Raspberry Origins and Blackberry Dark Origins at the end of May, which we will announce via newsletter**

Wow that L'brett d'Cherry is a very small bottle count. Last time it was this small was Persica (batch 1) and Blackberry Petite I think.

Not a problem, I am actually landing at the Denver airport at 3:10 that day so I don't think I will be able to make it either. Perhaps we can coordinate a later date to pickup allocations and wear matching beer release shirts?
