Quick simple calculation question...

Is brewhouse efficiency the same thing as apparent attenuation (ie (OG-FG)/OG)?

Thanks!

No, efficiency has to do with the mash when doing all-grain brewing. Attenuation is its own thing

Weeeeeelllll, to be specific "Brewhouse Efficiency" has more to do with how well you have met your target post boil gravity and volume. To be sure, "Mash Efficiency" has some interplay there but still. Even they are different terms and figures.

Maybe we should start calling Apparent Attenuation "Fermenter Efficiency" to REALLY muck it all up eh? Then we could get really absurd and correlate terminal gravity and angels shares to a "Cellarhouse Efficiency".
