Doh, so I brewed 15g of beer last Saturday. Wednesday night I noticed that the beer was burping along at 16c so I turned on the heat to set it to 18c.

Checked it 1x or 2x and all was good. Just found the room at 26c and the beer as well. Shut off the heat.

I'm guessing the heat has been out of whack, approximately 24-36h, putting it at around day 6 or so of fermentation.

10g of Burton Ale yeast angle 5g of us05.

Any ideas as to whether I am passed the critical temp stage?

6 days is likley past the critical stage for normal ABV. A 10 deg C rise during that time is substantial. It probably affected the flavor. And you just might have brewed your favorite beer ever.
