I just bought a new temp controller from auber instruments it's a td400p. Does anybody have any input on it . I'll be getting it tomorrow? It will be used for my fermentation chamber.

There is another recent thread on them here... Basically its a pricey version of the less expensive ink bird ITC-308 controllers usually used here like this.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/141902248719?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82

I have no idea if one has some sort of performance advantage over the other... From my limited research on them I just know they are designed to do the same thing and are both from china.
I ended up using stc 1000 units myself for $15 because I needed many units.

Oh man I've done a bunch of research on controllers , ranco,Johnson, inkbird, and I found this I thought it was a good comparison to the ranco , just a little cheaper. I know some advantages are the temp probe can be submerged in wort and it can be programmed over a 33 day period with 8 different temp and time settings. Not that I'll use that anytime soon as I am a noob . I feel like I should have went with the love controller but I didn't like the buying options. I'll be brewing this week . I can let you know my thoughts if your interested? And thanks for the reply

I have two. They're awesome! I use one on the ferment chamber and one on the lager chamber. I opened the box, plugged it in, programmed it, and it works like a charm.

Does the ITC-308 support an 8 point temperature profile script like this one?

Cheers!
I know my stc1000+ units do... 10 profiles if I remember correctly with ramping capability (the stc unit is only $15 but complete build cost is higher for an enclosure and outlets bringing the cost up around $25-45) and they are hardly plug and play so not for everyone.

I had to make thermowells for my temp probes but I know the inkbird units do have different optional long length waterproof submersible temp probes that will fit in a second hole in a carboy stopper

Brewbama, I started tinkering around with It last night and I agree! It is awesome ,quick and stupid question? When u set up your program what did you put in for Temps and times for the 8 steps? I mean did you put in a temp and max out the hours for each step or are you actually bringing the temp down as time passes
