I'm new to home brewing, and I'm in the process of trying to find a good brew kettle. I don't really have a ton of money to spend on one at the moment. I found some aluminum tamale steamers that are affordable and seem like they might work, but there is an indentation about an inch or two from the bottom of the pot for the steamer tray to sit on. I was wondering if that would cause me problems during brewing?

No problem at all. I know the pot you're talking about, they're available at Walmart. The 8 gallon one was $23, if I remember correctly. My brother has the same pot, it works fine.

Awesome! Thanks so much. I'll go ahead and go with that option then :3 Thanks for the quick replies!
