Switching 4-way Manifold Input

I purchased a 4-way manifold that currently has the input on the right side, and I would like to switch it to the left. It looks like the barb and end-cap are able to be unscrewed, but they are on there TIGHT. I just want to make sure it is possible before I throw it in my vice and put more force into it. Also, if it is possible is there anything else I need to do to seal it up when I switch the ports? Do I need to use thread tape?

Did you mean a 3 way manifold?

Got ya. Brain fart on my end.

Yeah you should be able to swap end pieces. Teflon tape should be used on both ends.

This. I also try and clean up all the old tape myself, though probably not strictly necessary. A small manual wire brush makes this very easy.
